Medical advice from RSE

Wow! I think the medical establishments need to check out the miraculous healings at RSE from its disciplines. Who can we call? The Mayo Clinic?

From the latest RSE newsletter:

http://www.ramtha.com/newsletter/vol5/i ... nials.html

(1) Child conquering leukemia

http://www.ramtha.com/newsletter/vol5/i ... aling.html

(2) Hyperthyroidism healed

http://www.ramtha.com/newsletter/vol5/issue9/rika.html

(3) Heart condition healed

http://www.ramtha.com/newsletter/vol5/issue9/ken.html

RSE students are unduly influenced by JZ/Ramtha to heal themselves via the disciplines, and avoid conventional treatment and management of their medical conditions if possible. JZ does not have a license to provide medical advice but she claims that her disciplines can heal her students. A few students have claimed to have healed themselves via the disciplines as per above newsletter. The majority of sick students may not be that fortunate. However, there is a risk that there may be some students that will not seek proper medical help or stop conventional therapy themselves, and become seriously ill as a result of this irresponsible recommendation from RSE.

In March 2007, a lady asked self-proclaimed ?dr? Greg Simmons about her activation of breast cancer in his Q & A Physics of Change newsletter. ?dr? Greg explained the attitude behind the disease. He also recommended her to do the breath technique taught at RSE, and to take Coral Calcium and balanced with Vitamin D.

Greg Simmons has a degree in psychology and postgraduate studies at Burklyn Business School. He does not appear to have a medical or PhD qualification that would qualify him as a ?doctor?.

The Coral Calcium Story:

I was at several events where JZ, Ramtha and the teachers were heavily promoting Robert Barefoot?s Coral Calcium Supreme capsules and associated books that are/were sold by RSE. I still have some left over bottles!

In Feb 2003, JZ as Ramtha was recommending Robert Barefoot?s Coral Calcium Supreme product.

In March 2003, ?the importance of doing what Ramtha tells us to do? was emphasized and Ramtha mentioned ?the benefits of Coral Calcium in reversing illness? as per this legacy teaching.

Controversies with Robert Barefoot?s Coral Calcium Supreme:

(1) ConsumerLab.com finds LEAD in Coral Calcium product; Product also charged with FALSE advertising by FTC

http://www.consumerlab.com/news/Bone_Su ... 6_10_2003/

June 10, 2003 ? (Updated August 8) ? ConsumerLab.com today reported finding problems among the calcium products recently tested in its Product Review of Calcium Supplements. Amounts of lead in excess of the State of California's "no significant risk level" were found in one product ? "Coral Calcium Supreme by Robert Barefoot" a product widely promoted in infomercials for extraordinary health benefits and costing roughly 30 times that of the least expensive product to pass the review. Simultaneous with ConsumerLab.com's release today, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) charged the promoters of this product with by claiming, falsely and without substantiation, that Coral Calcium Supreme can treat or cure cancer and other diseases. Last month, the Council for Responsible Nutrition, an industry trade group, urged the government to prohibit the egregious claims used to market this product.

(2) From National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine

http://nccam.nih.gov/news/alerts/coral/coral.htm

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has taken legal action against a group of individuals and companies in connection with the advertising and sale of a dietary supplement called Coral Calcium Supreme. The FTC alleged that the marketers?Kevin Trudeau, Robert Barefoot, and their companies?violated the FTC Act by claiming, falsely or without substantiation, that Coral Calcium Supreme can treat or cure cancer, multiple sclerosis, lupus, heart disease, and chronic high blood pressure.

Coral Calcium Supreme is a dietary supplement supposedly made of marine coral from Okinawa, Japan.

In January 2004, a Federal court ruled in favor of the FTC against defendant Robert Barefoot and his companies Deonna Enterprises, Inc., and Karbo Enterprises, Inc., prohibiting them from making unsupported health claims about their product or any other coral calcium product or dietary supplement. The defendants are required to recall any product packaging that makes these claims and to notify resellers and distributors of their products about the FTC's action. The FTC is allowed to recover all of Robert Barefoot's royalties associated with Coral Calcium Supreme infomercial marketing.

The case against Kevin Trudeau and his companies is still pending.

In related efforts, the FTC and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sent warning letters to Web site operators making similar claims about coral calcium products. The agencies warned the operators to remove any false or deceptive claims from their Web sites immediately.

(3) Marketers of Coral Calcium Product Are Prohibited from Making Disease Treatment and Cure Claims in Advertising

FTC Press Release, Jan 2004:

(4) FTC Warning Letter to Internet Advertisers, June 2003:

Federal Trade Commission staff has reviewed marketing claims on your web site promoting a coral calcium product. This letter places you on notice that any claim that coral calcium is an effective treatment or cure for cancer and/or other diseases must be supported by competent and reliable scientific evidence. We are aware of no scientific studies supporting such claims. Without such evidence, the claims are illegal under the Federal Trade Commission Act and must be discontinued immediately. Violations of the FTC Act may result in legal action, which may in turn require you to pay money back to consumers.

In March 2007, dr Greg, who has no license to practice medicine, was still recommending Coral Calcium to a lady that asked for advice about her breast cancer.

Hi Cat...your post on coral calcium was timely for me, as I had just been thinking the other day about it.... My sister had a tooth implant that went bad December of 2007.... She ended up getting a jaw infection from the implant and had to have the whole side of her jaw removed and bone from her hip was taken to rebuild the jaw bone.... I have asked several dentists I've seen since then what causes that kind of infection from a tooth implant and while they all said no one really knows why, they all -- 3 of them -- did also say that women who use calcium supplements are more susceptible for some unknown reason.....I told then she did not take calcium supplements -- as I was thinking along the lines of prescription anti bone loss med -- but it has since made me wonder if the coral calcium supplements worked the same way in that regard.... mm mm mm.... My sister's whole left side of her face has been disfigured.

dr Greg admits he is NOT a doctor...

Unread post by Caterpillar »

?dr? Greg has admitted in his Physics of Change Newsletter Oct 2009 that he is NOT a doctor in his reply to a question about bipolar disorder but he gave advice on how to ?own? it.

http://www.physicsofchange.com/newsletter.html

Copied from above:

Question: ?What is the attitude behind bipolar disorder? What is it that needs to be owned or experienced to be free of such a condition of radical emotional shifting? I feel I understand the teachings quite well, however, not enough to know I can be free of such a genetic program.?

Greg?s reply: ?Although I am not a doctor, I would analyse bi-polar as a major swing in emotions. Once that neuronet is firmly in place, it takes a balanced lifestyle to reduce the emotions. What has to be owned is taking so importantly the things of which you are intolerant. If you examine what ?drives you nuts? in a figurative way, you will see what the genetics are and the neuronet is that must be owned ? when you are no longer bothered by the things you are now intolerant of, you will have owned that swing and the bi-polar behavior will be greatly if not completely reduced.

To own those circumstances that are intolerable, you have to place yourself in the environment that induces the emotion and then step-by-step, distance yourself from its affect on you. If you can observe the circumstances without engaging the emotion, you will atrophy the connection in the brain, and the behaviors will cease ? that process owns your karma!!?

Greg continues to call himself ?Dr. Greg? although he has admitted he is NOT a doctor.

A nice glass full of alkalized water blessed by Emoto, perhaps? :D

Any bogus thing associated with Simmons that I read really gets my dander up. The mish-mash of Ramtha-speak advice about bipolar disorder is a travesty. Simmons really didn't have to preface his remarks, "I am not a doctor." That is evident in abundance. I feel sorry for people that use Simmons as a souce of medical, well really any, advice.
