Paging Dr. Stupid

Unread post by seriously » Mon Jan 07, 2013 9:01 pm

I hadn't seen "Dr." Gregg's site until last month. On it, he answers questions from people seeking advice. His ridiculous responses can't go on without being challenged. Below I'll list a few questions posed to the "Dr.". I'll list his response and then Dr. Seriously will give it a go. I can't do any worse.

Original question:
When is a good time to withdraw the money from the bank? ... Do you think there will be a special signal to know when I can do this?

Dr. Gregg aka Dr. Stupid:
It usually happens on a Friday after the banks have closed, so you will not get any warning. I would only keep in my bank the amount of money necessary to pay my bills – all other money I would keep in a safe place.

Dr. Seriously:
I apologize for Dr. Gregg's idiotic response to your question. First off, I assume you're essentially asking when your bank or the entire monetary system is going to collapse. Dr. Gregg seems to know banks usually collapse on Fridays. They do close and lock their doors for two days and it usually happens on a Friday. It's called the weekend.

The monetary system isn't going to collapse. There will be fluctuations in markets and sometimes even large corrections. However, people need a way to receive payment for goods and services they provide and pay others for goods and services they receive. If you haven't given all of your money to JZ yet and we're talking about investment funds beyond what you need to pay your bills, take your money out of the bank if you're not getting what you perceive to be a good rate of return on your investment. They best rate I've seen on a savings, money market or checking account is 2% and that's from a credit union. Make sure your investment portfolio is diversified and try and keep 6 months worth of expenses in your bank (or credit union) account in case of loss of employment or illness. Seek the advice of a professional financial planner. Despite Dr. Gregg's advice, I would be hesitant to purchase gold/silver at this time as they are near record highs. Warren Buffet, who I don't believe has his imaginary doctorate like Dr. Gregg, is famously quoted as saying "Be fearful when others are greedy."

Original question:
If the earth changes do not occur then what is going to stop/change the messy enslavement the world is all caught up in?

Dr. Gregg aka Dr. Stupid:
Earth changes will continue and eventually break the financial infrastructure – imagine what the insurance companies are doing with the recent damage of hurricane Sandy. The sun will continue to spew solar flares, at some point, a massive flare is going to do damage to the electrical grid, and people will quickly understand that they must fend for themselves.
It may be chaotic for awhile, but it will even out and a new mind will pervade the earth.

Dr. Seriously:
Let me address Dr. Gregg's ridiculous conclusions and then answer your question. Earth changes will continue as they always have. They will not break the financial infrastructure. That's not to say, there won't be negative and probably severely negative impacts on markets, companies and communities affected by floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc. Solar flare activity from the sun is cyclical. The largest impact is at the poles with very low population density. If solar flares do impact the electrical grid, it will most likely be in the farther Northern or Southern hemispheres. If a transformer is blown due to a solar flare or another reason, it will be replaced. The world won't be flung into chaos. You may be inconvenienced.

On to your question: It sounds like you want earth changes to wipe away our current society and start fresh. Keep in mind, that desire includes the death of the majority of the population which would include people you care about or used to care about. What messy enslavement is the world in? I would argue this is the freest people have ever been since the dawn of societies. Are things perfect? Absolutely not. Are there atrocities taking place around the world? Yes. However, people and societies change, grow, evolve and hopefully learn from their mistakes. If you don't like something about your community or society at large, do something about it. Be a part of the solution to better mankind and don't wait around hoping for its demise.

Original question:
Forgive my innocent question. We have adhered to Ramtha's request to move ourselves away from the water to the interior of our country. Here it is hot, dry and isolated. The communities are small and hardened by the climate and the jobs and income are minimal, making this quest a poor one financially and socially. But we moved as is our faith in our teacher, and so my question...Once the earth changes are over and the village is ripped from the earth and the trees are all uprooted in the wind, and the animals are gone, and we survive and emerge - and the earth is silent and all we can see is empty and flattened - and we emerge alone in the middle of nowhere - what then is our purpose?

Dr. Gregg aka Dr. Stupid:
Our purpose after the earth changes is the SAME as before the earth changes - to evolve spiritually. If your preparations were done to survive, that is one attitude. If they were done to be part of a remarkable future lived with like-minded beings, then that is entirely different....ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING.

Your efforts to prepare yourselves may have greater implications than is now obvious. The latest updates (Ramtha at the November Follow-Up) are still the same. 2012 has many potentials - stay near your safe place throughout the entire holiday season. And maybe, just maybe, we will slide right by this whole mess - not because it didn't happen, but because you were prepared and belong to a future in which this is not its reality.

Dr. Seriously:
For a moment, completely disregard Ramtha and Dr. Gregg and then continue disregarding them for the rest of your life.

Seriously- anyone who puts fear out there...when noone knows the future is actually doing more harm than good.

He should check out his philosophy on life. Like how he sees the world. He is just perpetuating everyday propaganda. That there is not enough to go around. That there are evil people, life is dark, the universe is cruel. He should take a look at his own life. And reflect is that how he wants to continue to live. One must always check to see how they think about life. He may just be brainwashed. But he is in a hole.

Evolving spiritually..what the hell does that mean. Staring at your miserable doomed self in mirrors? For hours alone looking for patterns in the backs of Cards? Roulette in a dark casino? Taking a walk in cold rainy Yelm? Why do you have to evolve? Why cant you just love yourself? The way you are? And take joy in life and your family and friends..know the known? What is so bad about reality?

Original Question: I want to know if we had the alignment on the 21st? Are some students missing?
Disappointment is what we felt. No lights or warping in the sky. Nothing of what the Ram said happened.
I move away from my home 1 year ago based on Ramtha's predictions, left family and friends to go to the mountains. Can I go back now? I can do the disciplines and focus on my destiny in any place.

Dr. Greg aka Dr. Stupid: There was an alignment on the 21 – 23 of December. However, the alignment was not intended to destroy the earth. This alignment happens every 26,000 years and the earth is over 4-1/2 billion years old, so it has survived many alignments. The concern is NOT over. For the past several years, Ramtha has had us focus on ‘2013.’ We focused on this 2013 card during many sessions at the school. And the ‘Safe Future Now’ process doing C&E, has us focus on the year 2013. It has always been about 2013!! There are NOW many experts that predict that the months of February – April 2013 would be the months and year of most concern. From my own research over many years, I am in agreement with them.

Dr. Seriously: First off, please disregard everything Dr. Greg told you. It's ridiculous and designed to keep you loyal to RSE Inc and buy his books. You asked if RSE students were missing. Because I know a bit about the origin of your question, I'll answer it with that in mind. No. JZ, pretending to be possessed by a wise spirit that's terrible at predicting the future, said something along the lines that on Dec 21st, 2012, the earth would be in alignment with the parts of the Milky Way galaxy which will cause alternate universes normally separated by frequency modulation to phase into one another causing enlightened students to shift into alternate universes. Of course, JZ says evil government scientists are trying to prevent humans from phasing. I'm going to stop now. My IQ is dropping with each letter I type. Disregard this. Did it happen? No. JZ is horrible at predicting the future and please don't base any life choices on her advice or premonitions. Sell your mountain property. Go back to your family and friends. Get your life back and stop seeking advice from JZ and Dr. Greg. As you can see from Dr. Greg's response, the calamity is always going to be on the horizon. Because nothing happened after all of the dire warnings, yet again, the can full of fear is kicked down the road to keep you beholden to them. You're always thinking I have to go to the next event or pay for the streaming video so I know what's coming and how to prepare. Did Japan fall into the ocean? Are we on the gold standard? Have aliens invaded? Did Nibiru rip the earth apart? Is society in shambles and everyone is living in undergrounds? Can you manifest physical items out of thin air? Are you a god (you're supposed to be after 7 years in the "school")? Did Prozac and multiple bottles of wine open your mind? Stop listening to them and think for yourself.

Somehow, reading this thread made me think of the iconic David Bowie song, Changes. I don't want to ruffle anybody's copyright feathers, so take a look for the lyrics on your favorite search engine, if you don't know, Changes.

Since this is educational context, perhaps I can quote one verse...

" I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
So the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're going through "

Not bad for 1971! Mr. Bowie knew the guy from Asia Minor would be coming back a few years down the road?... Hmmm.

If EMF helped dissuade the "Dr." from dispensing ridiculous fear mongering advice, that would make me very happy.

If logic is compared to just about everything that comes out of RSE Inc, the ridiculousness of it is so obvious. Keep fighting the good fight everyone.

Call him doctor misquote, don't give it much thought, and don't bother to do any research.

Doctor Stupid makes the following announcement for the February 2010 Physics of Change newsletter:

"The FEBRUARY 2010 Physics of Change Newsletter is posted:

So what have we learned in 2,064 years?

The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance. - Cicero - 55 BC

Greg Simmons
Mulai De Guise Publishing, LLC

Various versions of that supposed quote of Cicero may be found on an assortment of doomsday prepper and anti government web sites.

If one takes a quick look, it doesn't even sound like the translated vernacular of Cicero. Fortunately, the works of Cicero are public domain, and they may be found here: I have looked for this quote and I can't find it. I don't know about times BCE, but first century Rome did have public assistance for its own citizens of the plebeian class. As far as I know, Rome did not offer foreign assistance, but rather was in the business of conquest in 55 BCE. Ref:

In the link above, the writer Juvenal is cited as being critical of Roman public assistance for the plebians, and Juvenal's, "bread and circuses," excoriation of public assistance is well known. The following blog quotes the passage from Juvenal: ... 95572.html

"The "bread and circuses" phrase is from Juvenal:
Already long ago, from when we sold our vote to no man, the People have abdicated our duties; for the People who once upon a time handed out military command, high civil office, legions — everything, now restrains itself and anxiously hopes for just two things: bread and circuses
Juvenal here makes reference to the Roman practice of providing free wheat to Roman citizens as well as costly circus games and other forms of entertainment as a means of gaining political power through populism. The Annona (grain dole) was begun under the instigation of the popularis politician Gaius Sempronius Gracchus in 123 BC; it remained an object of political contention until it was taken under the control of the Roman emperors. The film, Gladiator, includes a scene where the crowds are showered with loaves of bread just as the gladiators enter the ring.
From upthread:
New rule: If a historical figure is reported as having said something appropriate to the modern day, chances are he never actually said it.
Possible exception to new rule: Juvenal.

With a little more work, effort and research, doctor misquote could have had a quote from an almost contemporary of Cicero that pretty much accurately refected the point I believe the, "doctor," was trying to make.

The final question is, um, did the Romans really corner the market on enlightenment? After all, they aren't around today. Perhaps Cicero, if he had said that, wasn't really all that smart anyway.

the constricted theater inside most cults like RSE is so confusing and pretentious that cult members will grasp at anything to give them direction, even doktur grrrrregg's lame advice, that feeds the mindset, that makes them feel more secure. When any of you were in RSE, unless you were a total bliss bunny, you felt edgy knowing you were on a cutting edge of a reality that the world made fun of, that carried a cult label, and that depended on words from the leader. Insecurity reigned, you always felt pressure to get to the next event. You saw yourself like Noah and his family, ridiculed by outsiders for building a great Ark and stuffing it with animals. Ah, the myths we live and die by :!:

I recall right wing-nut cult people scrambling to buy gold one oz Krugerrands from So Africa in 1978-79 when gold peaked at $500 an oz all based on a word from a cult leader like Elizabeth Prophet and her mind puppet masters. All those that invested lost big money for the next 25 years.
