Actually, it's already Oct 22 in the far East and Australia and New Zealand, and so far I haven't read anything in the news indicating the world has ended.

Guess Howard was wrong again. Or maybe he just ran out of money and supporters.

It would be a fitting "end times" for all of them to be housed together, sitting day after day listening to each others' doomsday prophesies and tales of past glory, eating the blandest overcooked cheap food, and meeting weekly to sing along with a perky 19-year-old activities director leading them in "Keep on the Sunny Side" and other such anthems of hope.
