Summary:
Should we be afraid of the end of the world ... or those who benefit? According to the Mayan calendar the world ends in 2012. Almost all of the continents would be wiped off the map. Myth or Reality? One thing is certain: the Apocalypse is already generating significant business and attracts riders of all kinds. "Investigations and revelations" investigated "madness" of the end of the world, and all those who profit: Builders shelters atomic vendors "survival kit" but also "gurus" who sniffed it rich for selling "training" for gold ... More worrisome, journalists have also infiltrated by sects, who surf the fear of the end of the world to recruit new followers.RSE TF1 Fin du monde

The Ramtha sect, to which could belong The couple of fugitives, was founded in 1978 by an American woman who claims to be in relation with a "lemur deity having liberated her people from the tyranny of the Atlanteans". A movement that encourages its followers to protect themselves from the end of the world by leaving the Earth.
This movement has spread in France since 2008, especially in the Pyrenees-Orientales, according to Miviludes, the body for prevention and warning against sectarian movements in France.
Ramtha tries to convince his followers to discover "the secrets of immortality" during trances. Internships organized by this movement are paying and increasingly expensive when you want to progress in the hierarchy. A financial risk was therefore also identified by Miviludes. Not to mention that the members must also sign a release of responsibility because, during Classes, the movement Ramtha says employing "methods posing a risk of injuries". Ramtha also ensures that he can cure serious diseases by thought. Miviludes considers that this movement presents a risk of mental destabilization for its followers.
