Hi forever,
Sorry to hear this.
Its very unlikely the problem is EMF directly ..but I will double check.
Most likely your computer has been infected with virus that has hijacked/hacked your internet web browser.
This form of virus redirects your page searches to the porn/spam sites.
Have you done a virus sweep with a decent antivirus program?
You managed to reply.... How is that? was this after several attempts?
This is the first time I have been notified of this problem.

On first try porn came up. Second try-no porn.
Yes, few weeks ago i ran virus search etc. Unfortunately there's unscrupulous people trying to con/scam people out of money by telling them they going to cancel their window license and they will have to buy a new computer unless they pay $65. It happened today.
It's all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$.

I had the same thing happen to me Sunday evening, March 22. As soon as I signed in, an advertisement for an adult web site popped up. Just browsing the EMF sitre did not do it.
I use anti malware on my computer and surf with in-private mode, extensions disabled. I checked to make sure my DNS setings are correct. I don't believe it was a local hijack of my computer. I have also used several other web site in the mean time and did not see any unexplainable stuff pop up. Just in case, I deinstralled my web browser, cleared out all cached data and then reinstslle the browser.
I did not get the adult site pop-up when I signed on EMF today.

After the porn popped up and i quick got rid of it-few hours later my computer let out a shrill beep beep beep that wouldn't stop. There was an ad for Norton-saying a "possible threat" had been detected. And another window with telephone number saying to call immediately. I couldn't close it out. I shut my computer off. When i turned it back on a "restore" window came up. Saying computer had not shut down properly. I clicked on and again that Norton ad came up.
I called the number with my computer beeping like crazy. No answer. Then some guy with an accent called said he had missed my call. He told me he was with windows software support and that someone was trying to hack my computer. That if i paid $65 he would be able to stop it.
I was frustrated because i could barely understand him. We went round and round. He ask me if i watch porn? ME? Porn? Not unless you consider bugs bunny and Andy Griffith porn. The guy said someone was watching porn on my computer. BS!!!! I know better.
When i told him i wasn't paying him or anyone else $65 he told me that he was going to cancel my windows license IP-shut my computer down and i would have to buy a new computer. I hung up on him. Shut my computer off and restarted it but without hitting the "restore". It hasn't acted up since.

When I saw that adult advertisement pop up after logging on tro EMF, I held down the power switch until my computer shut off ungrwcdefully. That is usually the best thing to do when one of those pop-ups occurs. Trying to cancel the pop-up actually allows the pop-up to run a malicious program.
Depending on which web browser you use, there is either an in-privatre or incognito mode that disables browser add-ons and clears the cache and cookies for anything you browsed in-private when you close the browser. Using in-private makes it more difficult for malware to run malicious scripts or exploit bugs in browser extensions.
Forever, you may still have malware on your computer. It might pop up again later. You did the right thing by not agreeing to the solicitation. There isn't any way for a third party to cancel your license. It was a complete scam.
You can usually fix malware like that by going to the start button of Windows, then opening Accessories, then System Tools. In the System Tools, there is a System Restore program that is legitimate Microsoft. You can use that to reset your system configuration to an earlier date - such as before last Saturday. That will usually sweep out any malware. If you feel unsure about what you are doing, it is probably best to seek advice from a local computer shop.

Excellent advice Ockham,
Thanks for helping out...
Best get your computer de-bugged forever.
Another suggestion....
If you are running Windows 7, download Windows Defender (its free) and do a complete scan.

It happened again. I was checking my settings on this board. I am good ting emails saying that I am watching the topic of this thread, and I am looking for how to unwatch this thread.
Anyway, when I clicked to expand the he p-m options I recall ceived the same pop-up saying I am viewing adult material that popped up Saturday. I think you better look over your BBS source code!
