Time for a Sweden update!
Incredibly, their mortality rate for Jan - Aug 2020 is 1% lower than the 10 year average for the same time frame.
If you're still seeing something scary - something so scary it is to be avoided at all costs - in this data, then I'm really not sure what else I can do for you.
Now here's the really interesting bit: Brazil doesn't have readily available up-to-date daily all-cause death data like Sweden does - and as such any assumption that Brazil must be basket case for not locking down is just that - an assumption.
But in fact, Brazil's 130,000 deaths associated with Covid is more or less the same as Sweden's 6,000, when population is taken into account. So it is actually quite a stretch to claim Brazil is having an unprecedented year, in terms of mortality.
Indeed, not a single country or state that hasn't implemented mandatory lockdowns, appears to be having levels of mortality this year, that hasn't already been seen in those countries or states, in recent years.
Peru, meanwhile, has implemented the longest and harshest of lockdowns (arguably competing for the title with the State of Victoria). Their results compared to Brazil in terms of both Covid deaths and cases per capita - speak for themselves:
