Here's my shocking discovery from Washington's Lottery:

As of today, Jan 28, 2013: Match 4 Winners 549,229 winners, $7 million in winnings!
Total number of Match 4 winners and prizes won in the last 365 days.
From the website, 577 pages of Match 4 winners in the last year.

But there were ONLY FOUR (NOT six) RSE students who won a total of $40,000 in the last 365 days (Oct & Dec 2012 & Jan 2013).
The other 549,225 winners who won $6,960,000 were NOT in RSE.

Perhaps NOT being in RSE increases your chances of winning Lotto!

RSE's ad is deceptive. You just cannot trust RSE.

I wonder what the point of RSE placing the ad in the paper is? RSE is just stroking the egos of people that already like RSE anyway. I know I don't give a damn how many people who identify with RSE won at Lotto tickets. Were I inclined to play the Lotto, then somebody from RSE winning is one less chance for me to win because there are are a fixed number of winning tickets if they were playing the scratch-off games, and ramsters winning depletes the jackpot in the regular Lotto.

I would say that on a per capita basis , I agree with Caterpillar! Being associated with RSE actually appears to decrease your odds of winning at Lotto. I wonder if the ramsters will promise to spend all those massive winnings in the Yelm economy.
