Scientology charging $10, 000-$30,000 for 'treatment' (indoctrination) of the vulnerable.
How low can this cult go? Pretty low apparently.

Co$ is not the only fringe group cashing in on the vulnerable addicts and their families. Services in general are not very good anywhere unless you have good insurance that has not run out for mental health/substance abuse. many Fundamentalist Christian "camps' exist also for addicts. some are run like boot camps and they charge $30,000 or more a month also.

As the lady featured in the article indicated, she was desperate to help her son as the 'normal' Canadian services were full---long waiting list in socialized medicine most everywhere, and if you want good services under those systems, you will pay out of pocket. CoS has turned this intio a cash cow--their "success" rate is exaggerated of course. It may be true that they do not recruit a high percent out of these programs but this is how they got most of the big name movie stars that we alwasy hear about.

That lady made a serious error by sending her mentally ill son to a Co$ rehab [Narcanon] because Scientology refuses to use psychiatry in any legit form. Hubbard, who was mentally imbalanced to say the least himself, wanted nothing to do with the mentally ill in his ranks--so C0$ just kicks them out.
