Obstruction of justice?

The court records indicate some from the R$E camp may have been attempting to manipulate the legal system by trying to force someone to give up information which could compromise an ongoing investigation which may point back to R$E. To me it looks as if R$E was trying to use the system to dismantle an investigation which may incriminate them. The judge did not allow it! I think we're dealing with a pretty smart judge, here!
