This was a turning point red flag for me.

When the movie, The Secret, came out there were a lot of people in RSE recommending it. I really enjoyed it and thought they did a great job visually demonstrating ideas.

Yes, the movie has its limitations...e.g, there is also the law of "Get Up Off Your Butt and Take Action" once you've done your visualizing.

I was stunned by the venom coming from RSE staff about the popularity of The Secret. I had expected to see excitement that these ideas as presented in this movie had really struck a popular chord. Instead, I saw nothing better than petty jealousy and a drive to make the movie socially unacceptable within the RSE community.

In particular, Debbie Christie boasted at a retreat that she had written to Oprah a letter saying this info was no "secret" since Ramtha had been teaching it for 25 years. Big round of applause. I was sitting there thinking that the movie actually claimed the info had been taught in various circles for a long, long time - Ramtha would just be one more circle where you could get the scoop so what was everybody cheering about. And especially, why were these staff people SOOO bent out of shape?!

The only logical conclusion is the overwhelming desire for RSE to be as popular or more than the Secret. And the jealousy over the money The Secret movie and now the teachers included are making. It seemed to me that then the RSE "going global" focus really hit big time.

Very sad to me was also Debbie Christie's remarks on how she has this big dream to be successful with the card reading and Dean Radin's testing so that she can go on Oprah and show people what's what.

Right, like Oprah is going to agree to have wackos who read through cards on her show. When she has a huge audience of church-going Christians who will think the person is simply devil-possessed. Like that will be good for Oprah's ratings. And as has been mentioned elsewhere, there's no "service to others" benefit of this skill that can be discussed. Meanwhile, if Debbie did get herself on the show, she would only manage to get her face identified as someone to never allow into a casino - so effective.

The jealousy, ambition, greed and fame-seeking inherent to JZ and her monkey teachers became much more apparent to me after that.

This is the first time I heard this Wake-up, but I am not surprised.
I know for me, while I was in, I would have defended RSE to the hilt.
Kinda like ex-cults members of all kinds gathering....
Even though they know they were each a part of a particular group/cult,
the tendency is to defend your own guru.

Debbie would have to explain this came from the Henry Sugar book that was READ at the Ranch.
To which Oprah would say, "Well, at what point are you giving your millions to the underpriviledged?"

What does card reading have to do with ascension ? (nothing) This is an example of how someone can get stuck in the trappings of RSE. I'm guilty of this. I went to RSE because since I was a little girl, I was Very Intuitive (still am). I thought that going for 7 yrs to a school that promised to enhance those abilities, and go even further was worth the time/money. For me, it wasn't a social scene. I traveled and was quite UNsocial, with rare exception. I was there for the teachings. Then, I would go home, reflect on what was "wrong"...put it on a back burner...and go back to my next event (uggg). It was staying attentive to the hope of the promise that kept me returning, while I saw my own successes toward that end. Or, so I thought. I came out with what I went in with, in terms of intuition.

Anyway, sad for Debbie that she's caught up in the material TRAPPINGS, not the end GOAL that was promised. The only thing it can serve is herself. I doubt it's a life goal of many people to read through cards. It doesn't clean the atmosphere, stop world hunger, war, etc.
