quite a 'hit' you took but as you said all is reparable and no one is hurt.
I recall when I first took on Liz Prophet's cult back in the early 1980s, "things" would happen regularly. Once the front wheel of my old Fiat crumbled when I made a turn. For a month or so after I "betrayed the Teaching" I'd wake up with stomach cramps every night at 4 am. My thoughts would easily seek a paranormal explanation but as I thought more about it, simpler, logical causes would suffice. It took me a while but I did finally emerge from Theosophy's spook house.
